Museum Jr Storytelling

Every Saturday – 11:00AM

EVM’s youngest visitors enjoy lively readings of children’s books that reinforce historical people, places, and objects. Each session, kiddos will receive a take-and-make craft for an interactive connection to the stories.

This is a FREE program, recommended for children 2-6 and their families!

This program ends August 31st. 


EVM Sprouts

Every 2nd Saturday – 10:00AM

EVM invites its littlest explorers and their grown-ups to experience the delights of nature in this ongoing series. We will engage in sensory activities to foster mindfulness, cognitive development, and appreciation of the world around them. 

For ages 1-3 | Adults $3 | Children FREE


Hands-On History

Every 1st Friday – 5:30PM

Explore up close with artifacts and projects! So that we can ensure there are enough supplies available, registration in advance is encouraged. Contact the museum for more information!

All ages welcome | FREE with regular admission


The Saturday Society

Every 1st Saturday – 2:00PM

You are hereby warmly invited to become a member of The Saturday Society. The Saturday Society is a club of Elkhorn Valley Museum. Should you wish to accept, please bring the $3 participation fee to our next meeting. This fee is required at each event.

Adults are not required to stay | Ends promptly at 3:30PM


Lunch Tour Tuesday

Every 3rd Tuesday – 12:00PM

Lunch and learn with EVM every third Thursday! Join us over the lunch hour for a virtual staff-led discussion and guided tour of one of our many exhibits and galleries.


Quilting Bee

Every 2nd Saturday – 1:00PM

We invite you to join us for a couple hours of quilting fun and socializing! All levels of quilters are welcome to attend. All of the quilts made during the Quilting Bee will be donated to Behavioral Health Specialists’ Foster Care Services.

Shaping Our Future

Every Friday During Heritage Month – 12:00PM

Every 4th Wednesday – 6:00PM

Explore the ancestral history of Norfolk and the surrounding area in EVM’s NEW family program! Engage in the multicultural roots of our community through activities, stories, and artifacts. 

Snacks provided | $5 per Family
