The History Experience Field Trip at the Elkhorn Valley Museum
Teachers can customize their field trip to suit their learning objectives. Choose from the following modules:

Field Trip Admission Fees: $4/student, 1 free adult for every 10 students

Picnic tables are available for lunch in the park. In the case of inclement weather, students may have lunch in the museum Auditorium.
Group Tours & Programs
Are you planning a trip to the Museum with your group or organization? Scheduled group visits begin with a welcome and orientation at the front of the museum. Groups can then take a self-guided tour of the museum and have the option of also touring the Dederman Schoolhouse, Dederman Cabin, and the Cave in Verges Park. Included with the Group Rate, your group also has the option of participating in one of the programs listed below.

If you’re planning to bring a cake and/or a present exchange, you will need to rent the Affiliated Auditorium.
Fees for educational programs and group tours are $4 per participant during museum hours. ($30 Minimum, $5 per participant after hours) For children’s groups, one chaperone per group of 10 is free.
Old-Time Independence Day Picnic
July 4th, 11:30am-3:00pm
Travel back to the 1870s to celebrate the 4th of July during this Old-Time Independence Day Picnic. Bring your lunch for a picnic in the Museum’s Verges Park and enjoy the songs from the Civil War and Stephen Foster. The Settler’s Cabin and One-Room Schoolhouse will be open with old-time games and Victorian crafts for the children. FREE!

Johnny Carson’s Birthday Party
October 24th, Noon-5pm
Enjoy a special marathon of our favorite clips and episodes of The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson starting at Noon. **On Exhibit just for this event: An entire additional exhibit case filled with Johnny memorabilia and the fascinating Carson Connection exhibit.** Included with Museum Admission.
Trick or Treat in Haunted Verges Park

Friendly trick-or-treating for the little ones at the Settler’s Cabin & One-Room Schoolhouse. Brave Trick-or-Treaters can venture into the haunted cave for a sweet treat.
